The Origin streaming on Netflix? (where to stream)
Lifetime has no shortage of VC Andrews novels to adapt, it seems. The network has already made films of Flowers in the attic book series, and now comes a limited series based on a prequel novel this weekend! That said, it’s not the prequel novel that forms the basis of VC Andrews’ series. Flowers in the attic: The origin is based on Andrew Neiderman’s book, Garden of Shadows.
The series is about the headstrong Olivia Winfield who is courted by one of the country’s most qualified bachelors, Malcolm Foxworth. After falling in love, Olivia finds herself as the new mistress of Foxworth Hall, where she soon learns that her adventure life has a dark secret.
Those who have followed the original Flowers in the attic knows that Olivia eventually becomes the primary antagonist of the story when she locks her grandchildren in the attic and things develop into an increasingly terrible territory. The new series will take a look at how Olivia became the villainous and violent woman we know her as in the movies and novels.
Kelsey Grammar, Hannah Dodd, Paul Wesley, Max Irons, Harry Hamlin, Kate Mulgrew, Luke Fetherston, T’Shan Williams, Alana Boden, Callum Kerr and Buck Braithwaite star in the series.
Where to Watch Flowers in the Attic: The Origin
The series premieres on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Episodes air at. 8 / 9c. The best way to watch the program is to watch live on the Lifetime network via cable or a digital TV provider such as Sling TV, Hulu Live or YouTube Live. You can also record or use on-demand to watch programs that way.
Another option is to watch via the Lifetime website or app, but you need a TV provider to sign in and watch. Otherwise you may have to wait and see Flowers in the attic: The origin flows eventually on Hulu, something it will in the near future. It is also possible that the miniseries may end up streaming on Discovery +, as some Lifetime content has done in the past.
For now, if you really want to see the show, the best option is to get a digital provider like the ones mentioned above. There are four episodes in total and they will be broadcast over four Saturday nights.
Will Flowers in the Attic: The Origin appear on Netflix?
Most likely, the miniseries will not stream on Netflix. Lifetime is owned by A&E Networks, which is itself owned by Hearst Communications and Disney.
Most of the Lifetime content goes to Hulu, since Hulu is owned by Disney. Sometimes really old Lifetime movies will go to Netflix or Prime Video, but generally Lifetime Originals is stored for Hulu or Lifetime’s own platform.
