Thor is back for his fourth solo episode in this summer’s latest Marvel release, “Thor: Love and Thunder”.
Attached is his second “Thor” project, Taika Waititi, directed, co-wrote and starred in “Thor: Love and Thunder” after his work on the film “Thor: Ragnarok” in 2017.
Waititi wrote “Thor: Love and Thunder” as a sequel to the 2017 film with “Someone Great” screenwriter Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. Hemsworth repeats the role of Thor, while Waititi returns on screen as Korg, along with Tessa Thompson and Natalie Portman. “Thor: Love and Thunder” opens exclusively in cinemas on Friday 8. July, so the only way to watch the opening weekend is in a cinema.
When will “Thor: Love and Thunder” be streamed on Disney +?
Although no official date has been set for the streaming date for “Thor: Love and Thunder”, the film is a Disney release and will almost certainly be streamed on Disney + after an approximately 45-day window of theatrical exclusivity based on previous Marvel Movies. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness “and” Eternals “landed on the streaming service.
That means you can expect “Thor: Love and Thunder” to hit Disney + around August 22, which will be the exclusive streaming home.
Who is in the cast «Thor: Love and Thunder»?
Chris Hemsworth will resume the role of Thor, along with Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Taika Waititi as Korg, and Jaimie Alexander as Sif. Natalie Portman has returned to MCU as Thor’s ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who now uses Mjolnir as Mighty Thor.
New characters include Gorr the God Butcher played by Christian Bale and Russell Crowe as Zeus. Some famous faces include Matt Damon as Asgardian actress Loki, Sam Neill as Asgardian actress Odin, and Luke Hemsworth as Asgardian actress Thor, with an introduction to a new Asgardian actress, Melissa McCarthy as actress who plays Hela. After the epic battle between the Avengers and Thanos in “Avengers: Endgame”, the god of thunder, Thor has begun to work with himself and “find inner peace”. Unfortunately for Thor, he must return to the action and fight against Gorr the God Butcher (Bale) who tries to kill all the gods. Thor recruits Valkyrie (Thompson), Korg (Waititi) and Jane Foster (Portman) to help stop Gorr. Although “Thor: Love and Thunder” premieres after “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, the Marvel movies that will prepare you for Thor’s fourth episode are the first three “Thor” installments: “Thor”, “Thor : The Dark World, “Thor: Ragnarok”, as well as the latest “Avengers” movies: “Avengers: Endgame”, “Avengers: Infinity War”.
