How to watch the 2022 CrossFit Games streaming online and on TV

AUGUST IS OVER us and the summer season is coming to an end, but the sport of fitness is starting to heat up. After a long wait, the 16th NOBULL CrossFit Games competition is almost here. The event promises to be one of the most accessible to fans in recent years, with multiple options to take in the action via live-stream and broadcast coverage.

The CrossFit Games will take place starting Wednesday, August 3rd in Madison, Wisconsin, in front of an in-person audience filled with the biggest fans of functional training. The Games run for five days of events through Sunday, August 8. Along with the individual competition, which will see the reigning champions of the men’s and women’s divisions, Justin Medeiros and Tia-Clair Toomey, look to retain their titles as the strongest on Earth, the Games will hold events for teams, masters, teenagers and adaptive divisions. In total, athletes from 120 different countries will participate in the competition.

Where to watch the 2022 NOBULL CrossFit Games

Fans looking to watch the games at home will be able to stream the action through a few different methods. CrossFit’s own social media channels, including YouTube, Facebook and Twitch, will provide full coverage of individual and team competitions, with “select coverage” of the masters, juniors and adaptive divisions. For more context on exactly what this means, CrossFit says: “Live coverage will include every heat in every event for individual and team divisions, as well as broad coverage of the age group and adaptive divisions throughout the week, including full coverage of the age group and adaptive finals that will crown each division’s champions, direct from the Coliseum.” YouTube broadcasts will be available in five languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian.

The Pluto TV Sports Channel will also have this coverage available for free (which can be streamed on mobile, desktop and smart TVs, according to CrossFit). For more in-depth event tracking, fans can also download the CrossFit Games app (for iOS and Android), which is built with features for event participants, but can also help people at home keep track of the competition with scoreboards, scheduling and more.

Broadcast TV will also provide coverage, but only for individual event finals on the last day of competition. It airs on the CBS Television Network on Sunday, August 7 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM CT (1:00 PM to 3:00 PM ET; 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM PT). Check your local listings for more information.

For event details and up-to-the-minute updates, follow the official CrossFit Games accounts on Instagram and Twitter and check in on the website of CrossFit HQ Games. The training tab will provide information about the specific events, especially those for large parts of the individual competition, which have not yet been announced.
