With 2023 almost upon us, I wanted to be excited to highlight some of the new Pixar content heading to our screens in 2023, which includes the first ever Pixar series.
Here is the overview:
Note: This list is subject to change
Elementary
Disney and Pixar’s “Elemental” is a brand new, original feature film set in Element City, where fire, water, land and air dwellers live together. The story introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman whose friendship with a funny, juicy guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in. Directed by Peter Sohn (“The Good Dinosaur,” “Partly Cloudy” short ), produced by Denise Ream (“The Good Dinosaur,” “Cars 2”), and featuring the voices of Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie as Ember and Wade, respectively,
“Elemental” comes to cinemas on June 16, 2023, and coming to Disney+ later this year.
Win or lose
This is Pixar’s first long-form series and follows the Pickles, a middle school softball team, in the week leading up to their championship game. Each episode takes place in the same week, highlighting the perspective of a different protagonist – players, their parents, the referee – each reflected in a unique visual style. The series is directed by Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates. It will also star Will Forte as Coach Dan.
“Win or Lose” is coming to Disney+ in the fall of 2023
Dug Days: Carl’s Date
And this likely isn’t the only Pixar content headed to Disney+ in 2023, as hopefully we’ll also see some additional content, such as a behind-the-scenes documentary about “Elementary” and some new Spark shorts.
What are you looking forward to seeing on Disney+ in 2023 from Pixar?
