Top 8 ways to fix Android TV that does not download apps

1. Check Wi-Fi connection

2. Restart Android TV
This is another basic troubleshooting trick to fix bugs on Android TV. Continue to press the power button on the Android TV remote control and select Restart from the side menu on the TV.
Open the Play Store on Android and try downloading apps again. If it still does not work, go to other tricks.
3. Check storage on Android TV

Step 1: Open the Android TV home screen and select Settings gear at the top right.
Step 2: Scroll to the Device Settings menu.
Step 3: Select Storage from the following menu.
Step 4: Click Internal Shared Storage.
Step 5: Scroll down and check available space on Android TV.
If you have only a few MB of storage left on Android TV, go to cached data from the same menu. Press OK and clear the buffer data for all apps on Android TV.
Disable and disable the Google Play Store

Step 1: Launch the info menu for the Google Play Store app (see steps above).

7. Install apps with your Android phone

Step 1: Open the Google Play Store on your Android phone.

8. Update your Android TV software
