Almost two years after the last episode of the series, Black Clover returns with Sword of the Wizard King. The film’s plot is a bit vague because it will be a completely original story that is not from the manga. According to a chirping from the official Black Clover Twitter account, it will be released on March 31, 2023.

The Zombie Land Saga movie’s title is actually not fully confirmed yet. It’s either Beyond Revenge or Zombies VS Aliens, but since the latter was “announced” as an April Fool’s joke a couple of years ago, Beyond Revenge might be more likely.

However, due to the Zombies VS Aliens fakeout and the end of last season, the movie’s plot is likely going to be about Franchouchou getting some alien rivals on the big screen.

Unlike the other films on this list, Psycho-Pass Providence will be a prequel. It takes place before the third season and will possibly cover Atsushi Shindo’s story and why exactly he committed suicide before the events of Psycho-Pass.

It’s just speculation based on what happens in the show’s post-credits scene and what you can see in the trailer. No official action has been revealed yet.

MAPPA fans are eating well in 2023 with another movie that will be animated by them. Romance and sports fans also have something to look forward to as the film in question is from the critically acclaimed Yuri on Ice series.

Although admittedly the film could lean a little less on the romance side. Ice Adolescence appears to focus on a young Victor and his struggle at the Olympics. This means that Yuri may not even appear in the film. Not significant in any case.

Garden of Remembrance | TBC 2023

Animation Studio: Science SARU

Here is a movie that is completely unrelated to any anime series. Garden of Remembrance will be an original story that deals with grief through the eyes of a young girl who lost a close friend.

Garden of Remembrance is a beautiful musical directed by Naoko Yamada (director of K-On! and A Silent Voice), so you know the soundtrack is going to be iconic.

It’s a short film, so it’s not going to be as long as something else on this list, but it looks incredibly promising and is sure to tug at the heartstrings of many in the coming year.
