I have not seen the first episode yet, so I have no idea if this is on notice for it yet, but I wonder if it was due to parody issues like other comedies like Osomatsu-san? I’m just confused as to how they would cancel an entire episode for broadcast unrelated to production issues, and still send the next one on schedule lol

Abe’s passing may have something to do with it.

I’m not familiar with the series’ humor, but this is such a last minute that I had to wonder if it was due to some event in real life – especially with the EP being canceled. Wondering if it comes to the possible physical release.

The episode was to contain an assassination attempt. Image from synopsis before taking it down.
Piccie was huge, changed it to regular url. Much related to Abe’s passing away.

Episodes that were skipped in the broadcast before came to OVA status earlier (with a few exceptions like the kuchisake-onna episode of Ghost stories), I would not be surprised if this one ends up the same way. Although this is a high-profile assassination attempt, I would not be surprised if there are directly lost media.
