It turns into a love triangle and then a harem pretty quickly. That said, there are only 2 serious contenders, the first 2 girls introduced. It’s pretty ecchi; not the absolute most ecchi thing out there, but definitely up there. It’s a yuri side couple; it probably won’t be mentioned during the anime runtime if it’s only one cour, but it involves an important supporting character and is relevant to her characterization.
Anyway, I personally like this more than Sono Bisque, but they are two quite different anime. Sono Bisque is more of a shoujo romance, while 2.5D is more of a shounen-style romantic comedy. The reason I prefer 2.5 is probably mostly due to personal preference, but it gets more into the cosplay side of things and the male MC is a more interesting character.
