Gundam: Witch from Mercury Prologue Anime premieres at Comic Con Int’l in San Diego – News

Anime premieres at the event on July 21 at 12:30 PDT

Comic Con International: San Diego’s website shows that Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury Prologue anime, a prequel to the first new Gundam TV anime series of seven years with the title Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury (Kidō Senshi Gundam: Suisei no Majo), will be shown at the event on 21 July at 12:30 PDT. The show will mark the American debut of the anime.

Comic Con International: San Diego takes place from July 21st to 24th with a preview night on July 20th.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury Prologue debuts in Japan July 14 on Gunthe Yokohama steam plant (the site of the life-size movable pistoldam statue), Gundam Unicorn life-size statue in Tokyo Odaiba, Freedom Gun life-sizedam statue in Shanghai, RX-93ffν Gun in life sizedam statue in Fukuoka, and the upcoming Gundam Base Virtual World in Bandai Namco The group’s planned Gundam Metaverse project. The project will then debut in events in Japan and around the world at a later date.

Bandai Namco described Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury Prologue prequel anime as a full-fledged project that will feature its own story and mobile costumes, including Gundam Lfrith and Beguir-Beu.

The anime’s website describes Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury‘s history:

AS (Ad Stella) 122—

An era when a multitude of companies have entered space and built an enormous economic system. A lone girl from the remote planet Mercury moves to the Asticassia School of Technology, run by the Beneritt Group, which dominates the mobile suit industry.

Her name is Suletta Mercury. With a scarlet light burning in her pure heart, this girl walks step by step through a new world.

Hiroshi Kobayashi (Kimi no Iru Machi, Kiznaiver, Spriggan) directs the anime against Bandai Namco Filmworks/Sunrisewith Ryo Ando (Interviews with Monster Girls, Double decker! Doug and Kirill) as co-director. Ichiro Okouchi (Code Geass, Princess Rector, Sk8 the Infinity) is credited for series composition and as a screenwriter. Mogumo is credited for the original character designs, and Marie TagashiraJuro Toida and Hirotoshi Takaya draws these character designs for animation. Takashi Ohmama (The castle town Løvetann, Mobile suit Gundam Twilight AXIS) composes the music.

The series will be the first brand new TV anime series in franchise since Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. The anime will premiere in October during the Nichi-5 track on Sundays at 17.00 JST (4:00 am EDT / 3: 00 am EST) at MBS/TBS‘network of stations.
